I understand. My favorite posts are your own writing. What I'm thinking is, if you have a lot of new fans, they might not have seen the older stuff. I know we could go back and look, but don't hesitate to post them.

This is a good one. Maybe you should post more of the old stuff.

Hi David, thanks for commenting. I just might have to post more of the old stuff as I've been so busy of late it's been difficult to finish new essays. I wish I were a faster writer!! I hope you're writing up a storm. Bowing.

Thank you for such a beautiful reflection. Do you have any suggestions for books on Zen and/or koans? I’ve been immersed in western secular meditation, and know very little of Buddhism.

Hi Stephen, thank you for reading and commenting. At the bottom of the Spark Zen emails, there's a footer with book images on it. If you click on that you'll see several lists of books that I recommend. For koan practice in particular, there's compilations of koans such as The Book of Serenity, The Gateless Gate, and The Blue Cliff Record. There's an inspiring, poetic book about the Mu koan titled Crossing the Bridge. If you only read one book about Zen, I'd suggest reading Opening the Hand of Thought. I love Zen Mind, Beginner's mind, but I thinking Opening the Hand has more practical wisdom. LMK if you have any other questions. Take care. Peace.

You may say, of course, Raghav! I hope you and your family are safe from all the flooding and its destruction. We humans have created a mess by continuing to manifest greed, hatred, and delusion. Peace.
