Thanks Heather for bringing those words as constant reminder. Very interestingly, Dogen always brings me back to Dao De Ching. The way, the Dao.Thank you, Dogen.
I do have question: I am very into consciousness-only teaching. Mind pointing out where to start? V's 30 verses?
Hmm, great question, May. Ben Connelly's book Inside Vasubandhu Thirty Verses is a great place to start. There's also a book on my shelf I have yet to read is: LIVING YOGACARA. LMK your thoughts when you begin reading them. Bows!
Thank you! Dogen is so wise! and he is such a wonderful guide. However, to read him is easy--some of the time--but to follow the path he discribes is not so easy. But we try.
Reading him might be easy and enjoyable, and comprehending the profound teaching is often not as easy! I think our intention to follow the Way and manifest the Bodhisattva vow is the path, even if we stumble over and over. It's all included. Peace & Practice
