Yes, so simple, and so helpful. When I was taking care of a friend's 6-year old son, I suggested that he use two hands to do everything. He was into it for most of the day. I really made him slow down and pay more attention. Thanks for commenting and subscribing. Peace🙏🏼 (that's two hands!)
I'm going to try it with my 12 year old niece! I already am intent on being more mindful today - eating my lunch with two hands (rather than one hand scrolling pointlessly on a phone), feeling the touch that is emitted through both hands when feeding the chickens, etc. Thank you for your wisdom. A deep bow (with both hands!)
Thanks, Heather. I love the way our zazen practice, if we carry it with us, can reach into every part of our lives, day and night, city and country. Your "ten" is an artful example!
That's true. But I meant to write before. Really loved Becoming a Free Person. Also those gems from the Dalai Lama that you found. And I've also enjoyed your hiking adventures. I vacationed there a couple of times many years ago. My son was more interested in riding dirt bikes than hiking, so that's what we did. But Alma (my wife) and I were once riding bikes and encountered a huge moose. Very memorable.

Use two hands - what a simple and profound idea! I'll take that reminder/practice into my day, thank you :)

I 💜 "artful." Always makes me think of Oliver Twist and the Artful Dodger.

I always love your personal posts, the ones where you write about your own experience. These have been great lately.
